Al Dawson is an artist and educator from Southern California. Their work explores material and the body by combining contemporary craft, conceptual sculpture, and the archive through a queer lens. They received an MFA with a concentration in Arts Education from the California Institute of the Arts and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from San Diego State University. Their professional experience includes design, fabrication, and arts administration. Al lives, works, and plays in Los Angeles, California.
